There are many interesting object come in the situation where we have to shoot in low light condition and we don’t want to ( can’t) use flash , even though we want to make photo still sharp. Of course we don’t want to pass to take picture of the moments such as city view in the beautiful night, music concert in the night or beautiful party . So here is the photography tips to make sharp photo even in the low lighting:

1. Use Tripod or Monopod. The equipment that is very recommended and easy to use is Tripod or Monopod.

2. If you don’t have tripod , try to make your camera stable with using the environment around, for example with lean on wall, ladder, and etc.

3. Try to use aperture as wide as possible , if your lens have limit aperture in number f/2.8, use the aperture f/2.8.

4. If both of tips above are still not enough, increase the camera ISO until shutter speed in minimum 1/60 (ISO setting on some new generation cameras can reach above 1000 and still can make photo with less noises).

5. When you use tips 4, you should activate the High ISO noise Reduction feature in camera to decrease the noise, or

6. You can pass the tips 5 and use the noise reduction software to decrease noise in post production phase. Software like Noise Ninja, Imagenomic Noiseware or NIK’s Dfine are pretty good to decrease noise in the final result oof photo. If you use lightroom 4 to set the photo collection, ightroom have noise reduction feature that very shopisticated.

7. Read again about optimum shutter speed: if you use the focal length Xmm,you should use shutter speed in 1/X seconds.
