How to make food photo above?
Characteristic: Food photo with white color domination , so the photo looks contrast and fresh also the DOF is very depth.
Tricks:
- The point is backlighting. Shoot the object near from the window, place the food at the back of window and front of you.
- Put the food above white layer ( foam, paper or anything which is white around)
- In order to make the lighting is enough, use the reflector ( Styrofoam or paper) to reflect the window light and put in the front and beside of the meal.
- To get blurry effect at the back , set the aperture f/4 or more in (f/3.5, f/2.8, ... and etc)
- Use the tripod to get right composition and sharp photo.
- If you're lucky have 2 flash , use the main light at the back of object and fill light at the front and side- fill light can use reflector with the stuff like above.
